  1. How many credit hours/units can be transferred from another university or college to one of the graduate programs?

It is possible to transfer up to six graduate-level credit hours/units.
 

  1. How many units are required to complete a degree or certificate?

Master of Construction Management (MCM) – 30 units

Master of Engineering Management (MEM)   – 36 units
Master of Information Management (MIM)    – 34 units
Graduate Certificate in Project Management – 15 units 

 
  1. What financial aid is available?

Low interest loans are available for students. For information, students should contact the Engineering Accounting Office at (314) 935-6183.
 

  1. Are any scholarships available?

There are no scholarships for the Sever Institute of Continuing Studies academic programs.
 

  1. What is tuition?

Tuition for part-time engineering students taking graduate-level courses is $1,280 per credit unit for the 2008-09 academic year. 
 

  1. Are students required to take MCM, MEM, MIM, or project management courses in any predetermined sequence?

No, but it is recommended to take the core courses first. Students should meet with their advisors before registering each semester.
 

  1. What is the maximum number of units a part-time graduate student in the School of Engineering & Applied Science can take each semester?

Eight units is the maximum number which may be taken to receive the part-time tuition rate.
 

  1. How much time is required outside of the classroom for each course?

It depends on the individual student, but in general, a minimum of three to six  hours a week
 

  1. What is the average class size?
15 students
 
  1. How long does it take to complete the programs?
Two to six years 
 
  1. How many years do I have to complete the MCM, MEM, MIM, or Project Management Graduate Certificate?

Students must complete the MCM, MEM or MIM within six years. Students complete the Project Management Graduate Certificate accelerated weekend

 in one year and the part-time evening format in one to two years.
 

  1. If a student travels for their job, how many class sessions is he or she allowed to miss?

If this is an issue, students should talk with the professor teaching the course before enrolling to discuss guidelines and expectations.

 
  1. Are weekend courses offered?

Yes
 

  1. Are courses offered during the summer?

Yes
