Graduate Studies in Project Management
 

We offer a Graduate Certificate in Project Management and a Master of Project Management.  Both programs can be pursued in either a part-time evening format or weekend executive format.

Weekend Executive Format
Classes scheduled every other Friday, 1:00 - 6:30 pm and Saturday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm

A new group of students begin each fall semester and progress through the program as a class

Part-time Evening Format
Classes scheduled Monday through Thursday evenings
Students may begin the program fall, spring, or summer semester

The Master of Project Management incorporates a three-world view: processes/methods, strategy, and people.  Students will gain the knowledge and skills needed to effectively practice as a project manager in a variety of business and engineering environments.  The degree focuses on project leadership, team performance, administrative requirements and organizational change and culture.  It is awarded upon completion of a 36-unit curriculum.

*If you complete the five required courses for the Graduate Certificate in Project Management, you may earn the Master of Project Management and the Graduate Certificate in Project Management. However, you must submit an application and be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Project Management.

The Graduate Certificate in Project Management (GCPM) adds project management skills to students’ business or technical expertise, to provide a powerful and respected career combination.  Project complexities are addressed so that graduates gain insights on how to achieve effective outcomes. The GCPM is awarded upon completion of a part-time, evening or weekend 15-unit curriculum, which can be achieved as quickly as one year. These courses will also prepare students for the Project Management Institute (PMI) exam.  All courses may be applied toward a Master of Project Management, Master of Information Management, Master of Engineering Management, or Master of Construction Management.
